Where The Women Are Networking At JP Morgan Healthcare Conference

At the start of the new year, industry professionals travel far and wide to make their appearance at the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Fransisco. The week isn’t worthwhile if attendees haven’t planned to have their agenda full with seats at first hand industry announcements, informative symposiums and networking receptions. The days begin early as presenting companies are on deck by 7:30am and a succession of panels segmented by power luncheons carry the momentum of conference fanfare. The evenings open up to a host of fun, strategic possibilities in the realm of networking receptions. With so many events on the calendar a little double booking becomes acceptable while you try to navigate the JPM Healthcare conference scene with new connections and the appetite for more.

You might find that your fellow female comrades are scattered too far and few between to network among like-minded associates in a concentrated setting. So many kept an eye out for after hours events where fierce and formidable women can connect casually over cocktails.

The San Francisco office of law firm Perkins Coie proudly hosted the Healthtech Women’s 8th annual event the evening of the 13th during the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference. Founded in 2014, Healthtech Women is an organization that brings together like-minded women in industry across the globe to share in expertise and ideas.

The event kicked off with a lively cocktail social and then on to presentations by Elizabeth Parrish, the Founder and CEO of BioViva and Carolina Reis, CEO, OneSkin Technologies. OneSkin Technologies is a biotech company developing solutions to promote skin rejuvenation. BioViva is focused on anti-aging and regenerative medicine modalities. Both companies are making significant advances to combat the “disease” of “aging” including beauty and reproductive preservation.

Another women’s event not to be missed was hosted Wednesday evening by Deloitte at the Martin Lawrence Galleries. Over 100 senior executive women in the life sciences & health care industry and M&A community convened on 2 floors and terrace of the gallery. This event has also become an annual gathering during the week of JPM.

If next year will be your inaugural visit to the conference or if you are planning your return, these are 2 events you will want to RSVP early for. As more women show up as industry leaders and CEOs at the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference, there are great expectations for events like these to be the pinnacle of the most exciting kickoff of the year.
